Free Card with Plan Upgrade Promotion

What is the Promotion about?

Revolut is offering existing Revolut Personal customers residing in the United Kingdom the opportunity to receive a limited edition card for free (the Free Card) when they upgrade their Revolut plan on the annual billing cycle (the Promotion).

We’ll invite existing customers to participate in this Promotion by email, in app notification, inbox notification or push notification (the Promotion Invitation). The Promotion Invitation will set out:

  • The Paid Plan that you must upgrade to (the Upgraded Plan);
  • Details of the Free Card; and
  • The time period, during which you must upgrade your plan to receive a Free Card (the Promotion Period);

These terms and the Promotion Invitation, set out how this Promotion works. You must comply with these terms, the Promotion Invitation, the Personal Terms and the Paid Plan Terms to participate in this Promotion.

How do I get my Free Card?

To be eligible to participate in this Promotion you must:

  • have a registered address in the United Kingdom,
  • be at least 18 years old, and
  • have a Revolut Personal account with no restrictions.

To get your Free Card, you must upgrade your Revolut plan to the Upgraded Plan on the annual billing cycle within the Promotion Period and maintain that subscription for at least 14 days after the end of the Promotion Period.

You’ll receive your Free Card at your registered address with us within 30 business days after you have upgraded.

Normal cancellation rules will apply to your Upgraded Plan subscription. A fee for downgrading your Paid Plan subscription may apply or your subscription may have a minimum term during which you cannot downgrade. Please read section 11 ‘Fees for downgrading your Paid Plan subscription’ in the Paid Plan Terms for more information.

Legal bits and pieces

  1. We may change, suspend or end this Promotion earlier than the Promotion Period if we believe that:
  • Someone is abusing this Promotion,
  • The running of this Promotion is harming Revolut’s goodwill or reputation, or
  • Any reasonably unforeseeable circumstances that are outside of our control arise and make it impossible for us to run this Promotion.

2. If we change, suspend or end this Promotion, we may do this for specific individuals or everyone.

3. If we change, suspend or end this Promotion before the end of the Promotion Period, we’ll let you know the same way we announced this Promotion and, where possible, we will give you notice through the app and/or email.

4. If you’ve already participated in this Promotion by the time we change, suspend or end it before the end of the Promotion Period, you won’t be affected. You may still be affected if we suspend or end the promotion because reasonably unforeseeable circumstances that are outside of our control made it impossible for us to run it.

5. If you have upgraded your plan and have not received your Free Card, please contact us through the Support section of the App.

6. To the extent permissible by law, we won’t be liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage you suffer as a result of something or circumstances that are reasonably unforeseeable and outside our control despite us taking reasonable care. For example, failures of a third party, legal or regulatory intervention or obligations and hardware or software issues which lead to us not being able to run this promotion. We won’t be liable for any indirect loss.

7. We may not give you the Free Card if:

  • Your Personal account becomes suspended or restricted before we’ve sent it to you,
  • You are no longer eligible to receive it,
  • You didn’t complete the required steps, or
  • You have engaged in fraud or material abuse or have breached these terms or any other Revolut terms which apply to you.

8. We may reverse the Free Card if we suspect or believe that you have engaged in fraud or material abuse or have breached these terms or any other Revolut terms which apply to you. We will consider the reversal of any Free Card to have been done with your consent and the payment to have been authorised by you.
